The use of a fake Aadhaar ID will prove more hazardous to criminals as compared to spurious ration or election cards as biometric data can identify an individual with more certainty. "If somebody has Aadhaar with a fake identity, then he will be stuck his whole life with that fake identity," Pandey told TOI.

- Are YOU a pet d0g Or a Human Being who treasures LIBERTY ?
- Then why do you want to be put on an Electronic Leash for the rest of your life ?
Only a mental Slave will desire to be kept on a LEASH .
- Those who give up their essential liberties for security neither deserve neither.
- Govt rationale is that if we put ALL Indians on an Electronic Leash , it will deter a few criminals and those who evade taxes.
- Well if we put ALL indians in handcuffs and 24x7 surveillance , that wiil also deter the criminals amongst us.
- No Govt is perfect , and history is testament that Govt machinery is often usurped by tyrannical forces.

If a person planning to commit a crime or an act of terror were to open a bank account using Aadhaar, authorities would also find it far easier to track him.

Pandey argued that the alleged breach of privacy with some government agencies displaying Aadhaar-linked information+ on their websites did not mean that the biometrics were compromised+ . "To say that Aadhaar has been breached, privacy is endangered is incorrect, misleading and even irresponsible," he said.
